The ISACON National 2025 in Raipur has been a historic milestone for ISA Nagpur. We are ecstatic to announce that we have been awarded the "Best City Branch (Large)" title along with 7 other national awards. Adding to the celebration, it was officially declared in the AGM that Nagpur will host the Annual National Conference, ISACON 2027!


On October 16, 2025, ISA Nagpur City Branch celebrated World Anaesthesia Day with a focus on the 2025-26 mission: "Mother and Child Care." The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Madhavi Khode Chaware, IAS, who lauded the fraternity's role in modern medicine. The day also featured the spirited Prof. D. S. Motghare Memorial Intercollegiate Skit Competition and an insightful Essay Competition.
ISA–NCB promoted anaesthesia awareness through educational videos and extensive newspaper coverage across the Vidarbha region during Ether Week and World Anaesthesia Day celebrations.

It is a moment of immense pride for our fraternity! The ISA Nagpur City Branch has achieved unparalleled success at the ongoing State Conference, ISACON Maharashtra 2025 in Mumbai. Securing the prestigious "Best City Branch (Metro)" title along with 8 other major awards, ISA-NCB has once again proven its dedication to academic and social excellence.


The ISA Nagpur City Branch, in powerful collaboration with DMMC and CRAB, successfully hosted the two-day, high-fidelity workshop: “THE PLEXUS AND PLANES ON CADAVERS WITH NEEDLE & USG 2.0” on July 5th and 6th, 2025. This prestigious event offered 35 delegates unparalleled hands-on training on soft embalmed cadavers, combining theoretical excellence with tactile learning. The workshop, dedicated to mastering USG-guided Regional Anaesthesia, was a resounding success, earning 3 credit points from the MMC and enthusiastic positive feedback from all participants.

The fifth session of the ISA Nagpur's APT (Academic Practical Training) Series provided crucial high-level training with a focus on Anaesthesia for Liver Diseases. Held on June 27, 2025, this in-depth long case discussion was moderated by renowned teachers Dr. Vaishali Shelgaonkar and Dr. Sanjot Ninawe. The session saw 85 participants benefit from exam-oriented, clinical management discussions, reinforcing the skills of postgraduate residents.

The ISA Nagpur IKCARE WEBINAR SERIES addressed a crucial non-clinical topic for doctors: Medico-Legal Education. Held on June 20, 2025, the sixth session provided essential insights into legal safeguards, featuring expert talks on proper documentation, informed consent, and practical strategies for dealing with medico-legal issues. The webinar was chaired by legal expert Dr. Pradeep Arora and senior anaesthesiologist Dr. Bhau Rajurkar, offering valuable knowledge to protect clinical practice.

The ISA Nagpur City Branch successfully hosted the prestigious Dr. Krishna Kale e-Poster Presentation Competition on June 6, 2025. This annual event, sponsored by Dr. Krishna Kale, Ex-Professor of Anaesthesia at GMC Nagpur, showcased academic brilliance with eight entries from young anaesthesiologists across the city. The evening was a vibrant mix of cutting-edge research, expert judging, and a celebration of scholarly achievement.

On World Environment Day, June 5, 2025, ISA Nagpur City Branch joined forces with the Rotary Club of Nagpur North (RCNN) to take a significant step toward the year's theme: "Freedom from single-use plastic." The celebration involved a massive eco-brick donation to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, tree plantation by members, and an expert lecture highlighting the medicos' role in sustainable living.

ISA Nagpur's successful APT (Academic Practical Training) Series continued its mission to equip young doctors with critical skills. The fourth session, held on May 9, 2025, focused on Difficult Airway Management, featuring a high-stakes case discussion and a review of Advanced Airway Guidelines. Top educators, including Dr. Amla Kudalkar (Mumbai) and Dr. Soma Cham (Nagpur), guided 65 postgraduate residents through this crucial topic.

ISA Nagpur City Branch has released a crucial new episode of its A3 Series Podcast! Titled "Anaesthesia के विभिन्न प्रकार" (Types of Anaesthesia), the episode features President-Elect Dr. Sachin Makde breaking down the different anaesthetic techniques used in modern surgery. This informative session, coordinated by Dr. Kirti Gujarkar, is essential viewing for both medical and non-medical audiences and is now available across all social media platforms.

The fourth session of the ISA Nagpur IKCARE WEBINAR SERIES broadened its scope beyond medicine to address a critical topic for all professionals: Financial Education. Held on April 24, 2025, the session featured expert insights on insurance optimization and passive investment tools, ensuring that the 50 attendees are as well-equipped to manage their finances as they are their patients.

The ISA Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) held the esteemed Late Smt. Vaishali Malegaonkar Memorial Interesting Case Presentation Competition on April 20, 2025. The event, held at IMA House, showcased the clinical expertise of anaesthesiologists through nine diverse entries. The evening celebrated academic rigor and clinical curiosity, recognizing Dr. Awantika Jaiswal as the first-prize winner.

The ISA-Nagpur City Branch, in collaboration with the Research Society of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology (RSACP), hosted a highly engaging CME on "Innovations and Advances in Anaesthesia Practice" on 23rd February 2025 at Datta Meghe Medical College, Nagpur. The event featured expert-led sessions, panel discussions, and debates on cutting-edge anaesthesia practices, attracting 135+ delegates. With 2 MMC credit hours awarded, the CME was a grand academic success.

The ISA-Nagpur City Branch, in collaboration with the Research Society of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology (RSACP), successfully organized a CME on Innovations and Advances in Anaesthesia Practice followed by a Simulation-Based Anaesthesia Learning Workshop on 22nd & 23rd February 2025 at Datta Meghe Medical College, Nagpur. The event featured expert-led sessions, hands-on crisis management training, and interactive simulations, receiving overwhelming participation and positive feedback.

With almost 200 attendees, the gathering proved to be a significant event, bringing together the anaesthesiology community and their families for an evening of education, recognition, and camaraderie.
