BCLS ACTIVITY AT ORANGE CITY HOSPITAL AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, NAGPUR

On 28th August , Two BCLS activities at Orange City Hospital.

President Dr Sunita Lawange and Clinical Secretary ISA Dr Deepak Madankar conducted BCLS activity for paramedics and medicos of OCHRI
Dr Lawange gave a brief overview regarding ISA initiative to train max no of people about Basic life support. Dr Neeta Deshpande consultant Anaesthesist at OCHRI was the coordinator of event. Dr Sunita Lawange, President ISA was welcomed with a floral bud by Dr Usha Nair, Director OCHRI.

Dr Anup Marar , Director Academic cell of OCHRI welcomed Dr Deepak Madankar, Consultant Anaesthesist at Meditrina Hospital. The event was attended by 85 people. Everyone was given handson training of chest compressions and rescue breaths by dividing the trainers in 3 stations.The AED demonstration and its use was taught to the delegates. There was an overwhelming and amazing response from the crowd with lot many queries , which were answered by the experts.

Dr Vidhya Nair, Director OCHRI thanked and appreciated the efforts taken by ISA Nagpur to train each and everyone aboiut Jeevan Sanjivani .
2nd session started after noon for the nursing staff and RMO and paramedics.

Dr Deepak Madankar gave a ppt presentation and Dr Sunita Lawange did handson demo . It was attended by 70 people from OCHRI.
Also the aaya, attendants were given handson training on mannequin.

Jeevan sanjivani COLS chart and SAFE HANDS ANAESTHESIA AWARENESS CHART were given to them to be displayed in their waiting areas and outside operation theatres.

While concluding Dr Vidhya Nair , Director OCHRI extended heartfelt gratitude and thanked ISA Nagpur for the endeavour and extended their hands for any help required from OCHRI.

On 29th August, ISA Nagpur organised 3rd BCLS activity in continuity of previous day for Doctors , Medical officers and nursing staff of OCHRI.

About 135 delegates participated actively in the activity. It was taken by Dr Sunita Lawange and Dr Ritesh Borkar.
3 stations were made and all the participants were given handson training.

Demo included instructions on how to use AED.
