Yoga is not only physical but a mental and spiritual discipline too. Dr. Ranjana Deshmukh, Past President and ex Head, Dept of Anesthesiology, GMC, Nagpur practises and teaches yoga since last 10 years. It was because of her that we, at ISA NCB, too were inspired and celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June, along with her pupils who included doctors, working women and house wives too. She explained the importance of yoga in our day to day life and how it improves our vital capacity, stamina and resistance to fight diseases.
The setting was perfect on her terrace at 5.30 in the morning with cool breeze, birds chirping and jovial atmosphere all around. It was followed by recitation of Om Mantra. A sumptuous breakfast was an added attraction.
