ISA National sponsored CME – “Anaesthesia Encounters Revisited”
The ISA National sponsored CME organized by the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City branch on “Anaesthesia Encounters Revisited” was held on 8th September, 2019 at Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur. The art of administering anaesthesia has evolved over time and so the intricacies and complexities too. Advancement of anaesthesia led to the decrease in type and rate of complications but at the same time advancement in the field of medicine, interventional & surgical management has anesthesia encounters revisiting anaesthesiologists. President, Dr. Manisha Shembekar in her welcome speech said that the CME was put together with the intention of revising and renovating our ideas of our day to day anesthesia practice so as to deal with anesthesia encounters with a better perspective.
Dr. Naveen Malhotra, Hon. Secretary, ISA National was the chief guest. Governing Council members, ISA National, Dr. Prithwis Bhattacharya, Dr. Mahesh Sinha, Dr. Joyshankar Jana were guests of honour. Dr. Anjali Bhure, Governing Council member, ISA National from Nagpur was the co-ordinator for the CME. Dr. Naveen Malhotra, Dr. Prithwis Bhattacharya & Dr. Joyshankar Jana also gave informative deliberations. Other guest speakers were Dr. Pradnya Sawant, Consultant Wadia Hospital and Dr. Praveen Neema, Professor AIIMS, Raipur. Dr. S K Deshpande, Consultant Cardiac Anaesthesiologist, Dr. Bhau Rajurkar, Dr. Deepali Mandlik, Dr. Neelesh Mathankar, Dr. Vikram Alsi & Dr. Deepak Madankar were the local faculties. Dr. Sachin Makde, Dr. Umesh Ramtani, Dr. Amrusha Raipure & Dr. Swapna Bhure put up a well fought debate. It was a proud moment when the President Dr. Manisha Shembekar and Hon. Secretary Dr. Soma Cham were felicitated at the hands of Dr. Naveen Malhotra.
The CME was attended by around 160 delegates. Hon. Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
