ISA – NCB conducts Practical Oriented Teaching Course for Post-graduate students

ISA – Nagpur City Branch conducted 3rd Practical Oriented Teaching Course (POTC) in two parts for anaesthesiology post graduate students of various colleges of the region. First part was conducted on 22nd & 23rd February 2014 and second part was conducted on 8th and 9th March 2014. The venue for the course was NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur. Dr Shubhada Deshmukh, Professor, Dept of Anaesthesiology, NKPSIMS was incharge for the course. The course was mainly in the form of lectures, discussions on drugs and instruments used in anaesthesiology, case presentations and two way interactions.
First part mainly constituted topics on anaesthesia machine, airway gadgets, anaesthesia circuits, monitoring techniques, regional anaesthesia while second part mainly included cases discussions and anaesthesia drugs. Total 37 students from GMC Nagpur, IGGMC Nagpur, NKPSIMS, Nagpur, MGIMS Sewagram and JNMC Sawangi participated in the course.
The faculty included Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors of medical colleges and Senior Practicing anaesthesiologists in Nagpur.
