The Department of Anaesthesiology at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) organized a Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) awareness and training activity at the GMCH OPD.
The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vrishali Panchalwar, with the aim of spreading awareness about life-saving techniques and immediate response during cardiac emergencies.
The activity was attended by approximately 100 participants, including OPD patients, their relatives, and hospital staff members. During the program, participants were educated about the importance of early intervention and performing chest compressions in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.
The training included demonstrations followed by hands-on practice sessions, allowing participants to learn and perform the correct chest compression techniques under supervision.
This initiative helped create greater awareness among the general public and hospital visitors, reinforcing the importance of basic life support knowledge and timely response during emergencies.
