COLS Awareness and Training Program at Titur Village, Kuhi

ISA-NCB conducted a COLS training activity at Titur Village Grampanchayat, Kuhi, educating villagers through demonstrations, hands-on CPR practice, and donating a Marathi COLS awareness chart.

On 19 October 2025, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) organized a Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) awareness and training activity at the Grampanchayat Office in Titur Village, Taluka Kuhi.

The program aimed to spread awareness about life-saving emergency response techniques among rural communities, helping villagers understand the importance of immediate chest compressions during cardiac emergencies.

The session was conducted by Dr. Sachin Makade (President, ISA-NCB), Dr. Vrishali Panchalwar (Hon. Secretary, ISA-NCB), and Dr. Saurabh Barde (Ex Vice President, SAMS). The team provided detailed demonstrations of COLS techniques, explaining how quick action can significantly improve survival chances during cardiac arrest.

Approximately 35 villagers from different age groups attended the activity. Participants actively took part in the hands-on training session, practicing chest compression techniques and learning the correct steps of performing compression-only CPR.

The villagers also engaged in interactive discussions, asking questions and clarifying their doubts regarding emergency response and COLS procedures.

As part of the awareness initiative, a COLS information chart in Marathi was donated to the Grampanchayat Office of Titur, ensuring that the information remains accessible to the local community for future reference.

The activity successfully promoted community awareness and rural outreach, reinforcing ISA-NCB’s commitment to spreading life-saving knowledge across all sections of society.
