On 24th June 2025, Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch in association with Indian Medical Association – Nagpur successfully conducted a Compression Only Life Support (COLS) Demonstration and Hands-on Training Workshop at Delhi Public School, MIHAN.
The session was held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the school faculty and support staff.

Under his leadership, the workshop was systematically structured to ensure clarity, skill demonstration, and maximum hands-on participation.

The faculty delivered practical guidance on recognizing cardiac arrest and performing effective chest compressions.
Focus of the Workshop
The training emphasized:
- Early recognition of sudden cardiac arrest
- Immediate activation of emergency response
- High-quality chest compressions
- Correct hand placement and compression depth
- Importance of early intervention in saving lives
The session highlighted how bystander CPR can significantly improve survival outcomes, especially in school and community settings.
Hands-On Participation
More than 200 teachers and support staff actively participated in:
- Live demonstration of compression-only CPR
- Supervised hands-on practice on manikins
- Interactive discussion and doubt clarification
The large turnout reflected the school’s proactive approach toward emergency preparedness and student safety.
Academic Resource Contribution
As part of the initiative, the COLS Chart of ISA NCB was formally handed over to the school authorities to serve as a ready reference guide for emergency response within the campus.
This ensures long-term reinforcement of life-saving protocols beyond the workshop.
