As part of its educational outreach and life-support training initiatives, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) organized a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) workshop at Shri Ayurvedic College, Nagpur for BAMS second-year students and interns.
The training session was conducted by Dr. Sachin Makade and Dr. Vrushali Panchalwar, along with Dr. Pallavi Meshram and Dr. Pooja Kanthawar, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Nagpur.
The workshop was designed to provide comprehensive training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response techniques. The session included PowerPoint presentations explaining the principles and steps of Basic Cardiac Life Support, followed by live simulations and practical demonstrations to help participants understand the correct procedures.
More than 100 BAMS second-year students and interns actively participated in the workshop. The hands-on training and simulation exercises enabled them to practice chest compression techniques and emergency response protocols under expert supervision.
