FM Radio Interview on Ether Day

Dr. Sachin Makade shared insights on anaesthesiology and CPR awareness during an FM 94.3 interview on Ether Day, highlighting the specialty’s vital role in emergency care.

As part of the Ether Day awareness activities, Dr. Sachin Makade, President of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB), gave a radio interview on FM 94.3 to promote public understanding of anaesthesia and emergency life-saving techniques.

During the interview, Dr. Makade explained the important role of anaesthesiologists in modern healthcare, including their responsibilities in operating theatres, critical care units, trauma management, and pain relief services. He highlighted how anaesthesiologists are essential members of the medical team who ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgical procedures.

A major part of the discussion focused on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the importance of early response during cardiac emergencies. Dr. Makade emphasized that timely chest compressions and basic life-saving knowledge among the public can significantly improve survival during sudden cardiac arrest.
