Event Overview
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, 5th September 2025, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) organized an innovative Academic Reel-Making Competition to promote creative learning and academic engagement among postgraduate students and young anaesthesiologists.
The initiative aimed to blend medical education with modern digital communication formats, encouraging participants to present complex anaesthesia topics in concise, engaging, and informative reel formats.

Seven prestigious medical colleges actively participated in the competition:

- NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences (NKPSIMS)
- Government Medical College Nagpur
- Indira Gandhi Government Medical College Nagpur (IGGMC)

- AIIMS Nagpur
- Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Sawangi (JNMC Sawangi)
Each institution selected one of the assigned anaesthesia-related topics and presented academically sound, visually engaging reels.

The reels focused on pharmacology, clinical applications, mechanism of action, advantages, complications, and practical relevance in modern anaesthesia practice.
Concept and Leadership
The idea for this innovative academic activity was proposed by Dr. Anjali Bhure, Past Vice President of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Past President ISA-NCB, and Professor & Head, Department of Anaesthesia at NKPSIMS.
The event was conceptualized and executed under the leadership of:
- Dr. Umesh Ramtani, President, ISA-NCB
- Dr. Anjali Borkar, Honorary Secretary, ISA-NCB
