COLS Training Program for BSF Personnel at Mandawa

ISA–Nagpur City Branch, in association with Rotaract Club of VSPM Physiotherapy, conducted COLS training for BSF personnel at Mandawa, strengthening emergency response skills among security forces.

On 16th September 2025, Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB), in association with the Rotaract Club of VSPM Physiotherapy, conducted a Compression Only Life Support (COLS) Training and Hands-on Practice Session at BSF, Mandawa.

The program was aimed at equipping border security personnel with essential life-saving skills to respond effectively during medical emergencies in the field.

Participants and Dignitaries

The session was attended by:

  • Commanding Officers Mr. Ajay Kumar and Mr. Mohit Kumar
  • Approximately 70–80 BSF jawans and security personnel

Their active participation reflected a strong commitment towards emergency preparedness and personnel safety.

Faculty and Training Session

The COLS lecture, demonstration, and hands-on training were conducted by:

The training included:

  • Recognition of cardiac arrest
  • Correct chest compression technique
  • Practical hands-on training using mannequins
  • Addressing real-life emergency scenarios relevant to security personnel

Participants actively engaged in the session, and all queries were answered to their complete satisfaction.

Appreciation and Acknowledgement

  • The training program was highly appreciated by BSF personnel and officers
  • An ISA–NCB COLS chart was donated to the BSF unit for future reference
  • Commanding Officers felicitated Dr. Ravi Mundada by presenting a sapling, symbolizing gratitude and respect
