Academic Session
The program featured a comprehensive lecture-cum-demonstration delivered by:
- Dr Umesh Ramtani, President, ISA Nagpur City Branch
The session included:
- Theoretical explanation of Compression-Only Life Support
- Demonstration on a mannequin
- Step-by-step guidance on performing effective chest compressions
The session emphasized early recognition of cardiac arrest and the importance of immediate intervention.
Hands-on Training
A total of 150 participants actively took part in the hands-on training session.
Participants practiced chest compression techniques under supervision, and their queries were addressed thoroughly to ensure clarity and confidence in performing COLS during emergencies.
Educational Material Distribution
As part of the awareness initiative:
- A COLS Chart was handed over to the academy for display and future reference.
- The anaesthesia handbook titled “Safe Hands; Know Your Anaesthesiologist” was distributed among participants to enhance awareness about the role of anaesthesiologists and patient safety.
