ISA – NCB HOLDS PANEL DISCUSSION ON MANAGEMENT OF PERIOPERATIVE ANEMIA
There is always a dilemma in the perioperative period about optimal hemoglobin levels before safely administering anaesthesia or transfusing blood products to anemic patients. Indian Society of Anaesthesiologist – Nagpur City Branch organized Panel discussion on Management of Perioperative Anemia on 17th May 2013 for its members.
Dr Ranjana Deshmukh, Dr Akhilesh Sangawar and Dr Sarita Joglekar were panelists. Dr Shubhada Deshmukh moderated the panel discussion. There was interactive discussion benefitting one and all. All the panelists discussed evidence based methods of safely managing anemic surgical patients before, during and after surgery. Dr Gauri Arora conducted the proceedings. Dr Saurabh Barde, Secretary of ISA – NCB proposed vote of thanks. Dr Charuta Gadkari, President of ISA – NCB and her team took efforts to make program successful.
