
Celebrating Clinical Acumen: ISA Nagpur Hosts Late Smt. Vaishali Malegaonkar Memorial Case Presentation 2025
The ISA Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) held the esteemed Late Smt. Vaishali Malegaonkar Memorial Interesting Case Presentation Competition on April 20, 2025. The event, held at IMA House, showcased the clinical expertise of anaesthesiologists through nine diverse entries. The evening celebrated academic rigor and clinical curiosity, recognizing Dr. Awantika Jaiswal as the first-prize winner.
The commitment of the ISA Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) to fostering clinical excellence and academic discussion was highlighted during the Late Smt. Vaishali Malegaonkar Memorial Interesting Case Presentation Competition.
The event took place on Sunday, April 20, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, at the M. T. Paithankar Hall, IMA House. This competition provides a vital platform for anaesthesiologists to share challenging and educational cases encountered in their practice, stimulating discussion and learning among peers.
Judging and Results
A total of nine insightful entries were received for the competition, demonstrating a high level of clinical engagement from the participants.
The presentations were meticulously judged by a panel of distinguished experts:
- Dr. Anjali Sawargaonkar: Professor of Anaesthesia, NKPSIMS & LMHRC.
- Dr. Vivek Bhargava: Consultant Anaesthesiologist and HOD, NCI, Nagpur.
After careful deliberation, the judges announced the winners:
- 1st Prize: Dr. Awantika Jaiswal
- 2nd Prize (Joint): Dr. Gunjan Badwaik and Dr. Ravi Nikhade
Execution and Teamwork
The smooth and successful running of the competition was managed by a dedicated team from ISA-NCB:

- Dr. Kirti Gujarkar ensured fairness and structure as the Time Keeper.
