Street Play on COLS Awareness during Sareethon

A street play during Sareethon highlighted the importance of COLS and the Panchrakshak concept, promoting life-saving awareness and immediate emergency response among the public.

As part of the Sareethon Public Awareness Initiative conducted by ISA–NCB on 8 March 2026, a street play was organized to promote awareness about Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) and the concept of “Panchrakshak”.

The street play was designed to educate the general public in an engaging and easy-to-understand format, emphasizing the importance of immediate action during cardiac emergencies. Through dramatization and real-life scenarios, the performers demonstrated how timely chest compressions and basic life-saving knowledge can significantly improve survival outcomes.

A key highlight of the performance was the introduction of the Panchrakshak concept, which focuses on community responsibility and the role of bystanders in providing first response during emergencies.

The activity successfully attracted public attention and encouraged active participation and interaction, helping people understand the critical role they can play in saving lives before professional medical help arrives.

This initiative reflected ISA–NCB’s commitment to innovative public outreach and widespread awareness of life-saving techniques, strengthening community preparedness for emergency situations.
