COLS Training Activity at Matru Sevasangh Charitable Hospital, Nagpur

ISA–NCB conducted a COLS training at Matru Sevasangh Hospital for 75 staff members, promoting life-saving skills through demonstrations and hands-on practice on International Women’s Day.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) conducted a Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) training activity at Matru Sevasangh Charitable Hospital, Bardi, Nagpur.

The program was organized with the objective of spreading awareness about life-saving emergency response techniques among both medical and non-medical staff, ensuring preparedness during cardiac emergencies.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Lanjewar, and witnessed the participation of approximately 75 paramedical and non-medical staff members.

The training included demonstrations of COLS techniques by Dr. Kiran Vyavahare (GC Member, SAMS) and Dr. Sachin Makade, who explained the importance of immediate chest compressions during sudden cardiac arrest.

Following the demonstration, participants were encouraged to actively participate in hands-on training using mannequins, allowing them to practice the correct method of performing compression-only CPR.
