BCLS Training Activity at Colors Hospital, Nagpur

ISA–NCB conducted a BCLS training at Colors Hospital, training 50 staff with lectures, hands-on CPR practice, and Heimlich’s maneuver demonstration for emergency response.

The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) conducted a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) training activity on 2 March 2026 at Colors Hospital, Nagpur as part of its ongoing public awareness and healthcare training initiatives.

The activity was organized by Dr. Deepali Mandlik and witnessed participation from approximately 50 nursing and administrative staff members, aiming to enhance their emergency response capabilities and life-saving skills.

The academic session included lectures delivered by Dr. Vrishali Panchalwar and Dr. Haresh, focusing on the principles of BCLS, early recognition of cardiac arrest, and immediate intervention techniques.

Following the lecture, participants were engaged in hands-on training sessions using mannequins, where they practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and correct chest compression techniques under expert supervision.

As part of the social outreach component, the session also included a demonstration of the Heimlich’s maneuver, educating attendees on how to manage choking emergencies effectively.
