BCLS and COLS Training Program at Netrakshi Eye Care Hospital, Bhandara

ISA–NCB conducted BCLS and COLS training at Netrakshi Eye Care Hospital, benefiting staff and patients’ relatives.

The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) conducted a BCLS and COLS training program on 31 May 2026 at Netrakshi Eye Care Hospital, Bhandara for hospital staff and patients’ relatives.

The activity aimed to enhance awareness and preparedness for medical emergencies through training in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Compression-Only Life Support (COLS), and the Panchrakshak initiative.

The lecture-cum-demonstration was delivered by Dr. Arihant Jain, Executive Member of ISA–NCB, who explained the importance of early intervention and life-saving techniques during cardiac emergencies. The hands-on mannequin training was conducted by Dr. Sachin Makade, President, ISA–NCB, enabling participants to practice CPR and chest compression techniques under expert guidance.

Approximately 30 hospital staff members and patients’ relatives participated enthusiastically and actively engaged in the practical training session.

To support ongoing awareness and education, BCLS and COLS charts were donated to Dr. Vishakha Jibhkate on behalf of the institution.
