Street Play on CPR and COLS Awareness

A street play near Vanadongri, Nagpur was performed by Dr. Kirti Gujarkar and colleagues to spread awareness about CPR and Compression-Only Life Support.

As part of the public awareness initiatives during Ether Week and World Anaesthesia Day celebrations, Dr. Kirti Gujarkar, along with her colleagues, organized a street play near Vanadongri, Nagpur to educate the community about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Compression-Only Life Support (COLS).

The street play was designed to communicate life-saving information in an engaging and easy-to-understand format, helping the general public recognize the importance of immediate action during cardiac emergencies.

Through the performance, the team demonstrated basic steps of CPR and compression-only chest compressions, emphasizing that timely intervention by bystanders can significantly improve survival chances during sudden cardiac arrest.

The activity successfully attracted the attention of local residents and passersby, encouraging them to learn and discuss life-saving techniques. This initiative reflected ISA–NCB’s commitment to community outreach and public education on emergency medical response.
