Public Awareness Activity: COLS Training at Lloyds Steel Factory, Gadchiroli

ISA-NCB conducted a COLS training session at Lloyds Steel Factory, Gadchiroli, educating factory workers on life-saving compression-only CPR and emergency response during cardiac emergencies.

Continuing its commitment to community outreach and life-saving awareness, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) organized a Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) training session at Lloyds Steel Factory, Gadchiroli on 28 December 2025.

The training session was conducted by Dr. Rusheesh Diwan, who guided the factory workers through the fundamentals of compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response techniques.

The program focused on helping participants identify signs of cardiac arrest, perform immediate chest compressions, and provide early assistance until professional medical help arrives.

Industrial workplaces often face situations where immediate medical assistance may not be readily available. Through this training, factory workers were empowered with practical life-saving skills, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.

This initiative highlights ISA-NCB’s dedication to expanding life-support training beyond healthcare settings and into workplaces, ensuring that more members of the community are equipped to save lives.
