Public Awareness Activities: COLS and BCLS Training Initiatives at Kidzopia School

ISA-NCB conducted a COLS training session at Kidzopia School, Nagpur, educating teachers and parents on life-saving compression-only CPR and emergency response during cardiac emergencies.

As part of its ongoing public awareness and community outreach programs, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) conducted a Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) training session at Kidzopia School, Nagpur on 20 December 2025.

The training session was conducted by Dr. Sachin Makade and Dr. Leena Gedam, who provided practical guidance and demonstrations on the importance of early response during cardiac emergencies.

The program was designed specifically for teachers and parents, equipping them with basic knowledge and essential life-saving skills that can be applied in emergency situations, particularly in school environments.

During the session, participants learned about the importance of immediate chest compressions, recognizing cardiac arrest symptoms, and performing compression-only CPR until professional medical assistance becomes available.

This initiative aimed to empower the school community with emergency preparedness, ensuring that teachers and parents are better equipped to respond quickly and effectively in life-threatening situations.
