Webinar Series Launch: “OT to Online – Anaesthesia Conversations”

ISA-NCB launched the “OT to Online – Anaesthesia Conversations” webinar series featuring expert discussions on neuroanaesthesia, engaging 83 delegates in its inaugural academic session.

The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA-NCB) launched a new academic initiative titled “OT to Online – Anaesthesia Conversations”, a webinar series aimed at facilitating continuous learning and professional interaction among anaesthesiologists.

The first webinar of the series, focused on Neuroanaesthesia Updates, was conducted on 18th December 2025 and brought together distinguished speakers to share their expertise on complex neurosurgical anaesthesia management.

Expert Speakers and Topics

The session featured two eminent guest speakers who delivered insightful and clinically relevant presentations:

  • Dr. Ramamani Mariappan (CMC, Vellore)
    Topic: “Awake, aware, yet amazingly anaesthetised – Anaesthesia for awake craniotomy.”
    Dr. Mariappan discussed the challenges and critical considerations involved in managing anaesthesia for awake craniotomy procedures, highlighting techniques that ensure patient safety while maintaining neurological assessment.
  • Dr. Lulu Fatema Vali (SSH & PGI, GMC Nagpur)
    Topic: “Mastering anaesthesia for intracranial aneurysm – Tips, Tricks & Traps.”
    Her talk focused on practical strategies, potential pitfalls, and important perioperative considerations in the management of intracranial aneurysm surgeries.

Participation and Moderation

The webinar witnessed active participation from 83 delegates, reflecting strong interest in the topic and the success of the newly launched series.

The session was moderated by Dr. Sheetal Awhad, who facilitated engaging discussions and interaction between the speakers and participants.
