ISA Nagpur City Branch Launches Nagpur Regional Anaesthesia Club (NRAC)
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch (ISA NCB) introduced the Nagpur Regional Anaesthesia Club (NRAC) as a flagship initiative for the 2026–27 term. The initiative was announced on 16 October 2026 as part of the branch’s vision to promote academic excellence, specialised learning, and professional collaboration in regional anaesthesia.
NRAC aims to provide a dedicated platform for anaesthesiologists interested in regional anaesthesia to exchange knowledge, share clinical expertise, and learn about evolving techniques and practices.
A Platform for Learning and Knowledge Sharing
Regional anaesthesia plays an important role in modern anaesthesia practice, supporting effective pain management and patient care in a range of surgical and clinical settings.
Through NRAC, ISA NCB aims to encourage learning and discussion on topics including ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and peripheral nerve stimulator-guided nerve blocks. The club is envisioned as a forum where professionals can share practical experience, discuss clinical approaches, and strengthen their knowledge of regional anaesthesia techniques.
The initiative is intended to foster an environment of continuous learning and collaboration among anaesthesiologists.
Strengthening Academic Excellence
The establishment of NRAC reflects ISA Nagpur City Branch’s commitment to expanding academic opportunities for its members. Specialised learning platforms can support professional development, encourage the exchange of ideas, and help clinicians remain informed about advances in their field.
The club also complements the branch’s broader academic plans for the 2026–27 term, which include webinars, continuing medical education programmes, case presentations, and other knowledge-sharing activities.
Leadership and Vision
The NRAC initiative is part of the branch’s flagship projects under the leadership of Dr Deepak Madankar, President, ISA Nagpur City Branch 2026–27, and Dr Leena Ingale Gedam, Honorary Secretary, ISA Nagpur City Branch 2026–27.
Guided by the theme “Inclusive Excellence: Ahead Together,” ISA NCB aims to strengthen professional collaboration and create meaningful opportunities for academic growth.
Through the Nagpur Regional Anaesthesia Club, the branch seeks to encourage knowledge-sharing, practical learning, and continued advancement in regional anaesthesia for the benefit of both practitioners and their patients.
