ISA–NCB Teachers’ Day Reel Making Competition Showcases Academic Creativity Across Medical Colleges
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch organized an innovative competition on Teachers’ Day to encourage academic creativity among postgraduate students and young anaesthesiologists, blending medical education with digital communication through short, informative reels.
Seven medical institutions participated: Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Sewagram, NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences Nagpur, Government Medical College Nagpur, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College Nagpur, Government Medical College Gondia, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Nagpur, and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Sawangi.
Teams selected topics from a curated list of anaesthetic drugs (Propofol, Etomidate, Sugammadex, Dexmedetomidine, Sevoflurane, Levobupivacaine) and equipment (Video Laryngoscope, I-gel Supraglottic Airway Device, BIS Monitor, Combined Spinal Epidural Set). Reels were evaluated on scientific accuracy, clarity, creativity, and presentation.
Dr. Anjali Bhure, Past Vice President ISA National and Past President ISA–NCB, initiated the concept. Leadership came from Dr. Umesh Ramtani (President ISA–NCB) and Dr. Anjali Borkar (Honorary Secretary ISA–NCB), with judging by Dr. Kiran Wyavahare and Dr. Hemangi Abhyankar.
