GMC, Nagpur Wins ISA Anaesthesiology Quiz – 2013
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists’ Nagpur City Branch organized an annual intercollegiate anaesthesiology quiz for postgraduate students on 25 August 2013. Five regional medical colleges participated: Govt Medical College, Indira Gandhi Govt Medical College, and NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences (all from Nagpur), Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Sawangi, and Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Sewagram.
Dr. Gunjan Badwaik and Dr. Abhiruchi Patki served as quizmasters, with Dr. C. S. Cham and Dr. Chaoji as judges.
Results
- Winner: GMC Nagpur — Dr. Ashwini Borkar, Dr. Gagan Agrawal, and Dr. Afzal Shaikh
- Runner-up: IGGMC Nagpur — Dr. Jayesh Hadiya, Dr. Bhupendra Chauhan, and Dr. Bhushan Ambare
Prize distribution took place under Dr. Narendra Tamhane (ISA–NCB Vice President), with Dr. Saurabh Barde (ISA–NCB Secretary) offering closing remarks. Organizers Dr. Alsi, Dr. Makade, Dr. Ramtani, and Dr. Shingade contributed to the event’s success. Over 100 attendees participated, including ISA members, department heads, and past society presidents, and the programme concluded with the National Anthem.
