The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB), successfully conducted the Dr. Shabde-Tambe Travel Fellowship Award competition for postgraduate students of anaesthesiology on 8 November 2024. The event was held at the ISA office, 4th Floor, IMA Annex, North Ambazari Road, starting at 5 PM.

The competition saw participation from six talented postgraduate students from Government Medical College (GMC), Nagpur, and Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGGMC), Nagpur. Eligibility required participants to hold an acceptance letter for presenting their work at the National Conference of ISA.

The competition was judged by Dr. Vilas Tambe, an eminent intensivist and senior ISA member, and Dr. Vaishali Shelgaokar, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology at IGGMC.

After an impressive showcase of knowledge and presentation skills, Dr. Sheetal Shinde from GMC Nagpur emerged as the winner, earning a cash prize to support her travel expenses for presenting her paper at the Annual Conference of ISA.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Roshani Manwani of the ISA–NCB executive team.
