The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch (ISA NCB) continued its public education initiatives by distributing educational booklets on “Emergency Resuscitation and First Aid Protocols” to promote awareness of essential life-saving skills and the role of anaesthesiologists in emergency care.

The booklet, prepared under the leadership of Dr Sachin Makade, President, and Dr Vrishali Panchalwar, Honorary Secretary, provides information on first aid, emergency response, and resuscitation practices. The initiative aims to make important health information accessible to the public and encourage greater awareness of appropriate responses during medical emergencies.

Booklet Distribution at Three Locations

As part of its awareness and educational activities, ISANCB distributed a total of 350 booklets across three locations:

• Vigyan Bharati Exhibition: 100 booklets distributed.
• IGGMC Nagpur Anaesthesia Exhibition: 50 booklets distributed.
• Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur: 200 booklets distributed.

These distribution efforts helped extend the reach of educational material to exhibition visitors and members of the public.

Promoting First Aid and Emergency Response Knowledge

Recognising an emergency and seeking timely medical assistance are important steps in responding to life-threatening situations. Public understanding of basic first aid and emergency resuscitation can help people respond more confidently while professional medical help is arranged.

Through the booklet, ISANCB aims to raise awareness of emergency response principles and highlight the contribution of anaesthesiologists to resuscitation, critical care, and patient safety.

Extending Awareness Beyond Hospitals

Public education is an important part of building a community that is better prepared for emergencies. Distributing first aid resources at exhibitions and public gatherings provides an opportunity to share practical health information with people beyond healthcare settings.
