ISA Nagpur Launches Public Awareness Radio Campaign for World Anaesthesia Day 2026

October 19, 2026

On the occasion of World Anaesthesia Day, 16 October 2026, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch (ISA NCB), launched a public awareness initiative through informative radio jingles on 94.3 FM.

The campaign aimed to educate the public about anaesthesia, address common misconceptions, and highlight the vital role anaesthesiologists play in patient safety before, during, and after surgery.

Raising Awareness Through Radio

As part of this initiative, radio jingles were designed to communicate important information about anaesthesia in an accessible and engaging format. By using radio as a public communication platform, ISA Nagpur City Branch sought to reach a wider audience and encourage greater understanding of modern anaesthesia practices.

The awareness campaign focused on four key objectives:

  • Busting common myths: Addressing misconceptions about anaesthesia and helping people make informed decisions.
  • Highlighting patient safety: Explaining the important role of anaesthesiologists in monitoring and protecting patients.
  • Promoting preoperative awareness: Encouraging people to understand anaesthesia and its role before undergoing surgery.
  • Educating the public: Improving awareness of safe and modern anaesthesia practices.

ISA Nagpur City Branch 2026–27

This initiative reflects the commitment of the ISA Nagpur City Branch team for 2026–27 to public education and community engagement.

Under the theme “Inclusive Excellence – Ahead Together,” the branch continues to promote awareness of anaesthesia and its contribution to safer surgical care.

Through this radio campaign, ISA Nagpur City Branch marked World Anaesthesia Day 2026 by taking essential health information beyond hospitals and into the community, helping people better understand anaesthesia and the importance of patient safety.
