ISA-NCB Enhances Workplace Safety with COLS Training at WTC, Glocal Mall

March 7, 2025

A Life-Saving Initiative for Workplace Safety

In an inspiring demonstration of community service, ISA-NCB brought essential medical training to frontline workers at one of Nagpur’s busiest commercial complexes. The program specifically targeted personnel who are often first responders during workplace emergencies.

Expert-Led Training for Real-World Situations

The session featured a dynamic combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application:

  • Dr. Umesh Ramtani, President of ISA-NCB, delivered an informative lecture on COLS protocols and first responder techniques, emphasizing quick decision-making in emergency scenarios.
  • Dr. Vrishali Ankalwar, Joint Secretary, conducted hands-on demonstrations using training mannequins, allowing participants to practice:
    • CPR techniques
    • Basic life support
    • Emergency airway management
    • First aid application

Engaged Participation and Lasting Impact

The training resonated strongly with attendees:

  • 150 security guards, field workers, and auxiliary staff actively participated, showing remarkable enthusiasm
  • Participants gained confidence in handling medical emergencies until professional help arrives
  • The program addressed specific workplace hazards relevant to the commercial complex environment

Why This Training Matters

This initiative represents ISA-NCB’s commitment to:

  • Creating safer work environments through practical training
  • Empowering front-line workers with life-saving skills
  • Bridging the gap between medical emergencies and professional care
  • Honoring National Safety Week with meaningful action

Looking Forward

Buoyed by the overwhelming response, ISA-NCB plans to:

  • Expand similar training programs to other commercial establishments
  • Develop tailored modules for different workplace environments
  • Strengthen collaborations with corporate partners for workplace safety initiatives
