COLS Training Program in Collaboration with Rotary Club

May 10, 2026

The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) organised a Community-Oriented Life Support (COLS) Training Program in collaboration with the Rotary Club, bringing life-saving education to a broader community audience.

The collaboration with Rotary Club allowed ISA–NCB to tap into an established community network, reaching members of the public, business professionals, and community volunteers — people who are not typically connected with hospital environments but who can make a critical difference in a cardiac or choking emergency.

Participants were trained in hands-on CPR techniques, the Panchrakshak five-step emergency response protocol, and choking management manoeuvres. The interactive training format — including dummy practice and group demonstrations — ensured high retention and confidence among participants.
