Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training at RST Cancer Hospital

December 15, 2025

The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) conducted a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) training program on 15 December 2025 at RST Cancer Hospital, Nagpur, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Nagpur.

The program aimed to enhance the emergency response skills of paramedical students by providing training in early recognition and management of cardiac arrest. A total of 150 paramedical students participated in the session.

The training included demonstrations and hands-on practice on mannequins, where participants learned the correct techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), chest compressions, airway management, and the basic steps of life support during cardiac emergencies.

The session was conducted by Dr. Pallavi Meshram, Dr. Sachin Makade, Dr. Vrushali Panchalwar, and Dr. Pooja Kanthawar, who guided the students through both theoretical concepts and practical training.

The activity successfully strengthened the knowledge and confidence of paramedical students in providing immediate life-saving care, reinforcing ISA–NCB’s commitment to promoting CPR awareness and emergency preparedness among healthcare professionals.
