ISA–NCB Teachers’ Day Academic Reel Competition Showcases Innovation Across Seven Medical Colleges
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, 5th September 2025, the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) organized an innovative Academic Reel-Making Competition to promote creative learning and academic engagement among postgraduate students and young anaesthesiologists.
The initiative aimed to blend medical education with modern digital communication formats, encouraging participants to present complex anaesthesia topics in concise, engaging, and informative reel formats.
Seven prestigious medical colleges actively participated: MGIMS Sewagram, NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences (NKPSIMS), Government Medical College Nagpur, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College Nagpur (IGGMC), Government Medical College Gondia, AIIMS Nagpur, and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Sawangi (JNMC Sawangi).
Participants chose from a range of clinically relevant, contemporary topics — Propofol, Etomidate, Sugammadex, Dexmedetomidine, Sevoflurane, Levobupivacaine, Video Laryngoscope, I-Gel Supraglottic Airway Device, BIS Monitor, and Combined Spinal Epidural Set — judged on scientific accuracy, clinical relevance, creativity, clarity, and educational impact.

- First Runners-Up: Government Medical College Nagpur and Government Medical College Gondia
The competition encouraged innovative teaching methods and inter-collegiate academic collaboration, blending medical education with modern digital communication formats.
