ISA Nagpur Conducts Best Research Paper Competition for Postgraduate Students – November 2025
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Nagpur City Branch, successfully organized a Best Research Paper Competition for postgraduate students on 21 November 2025. The event was led by President Dr. Sachin Makade and aimed to encourage young anaesthesiologists to present research and contribute to the field’s advancement.
Fourteen postgraduate students from three major medical institutions participated: Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) Nagpur, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGGMC) Nagpur, and NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences.
An esteemed panel of judges — Dr. Bhau Rajurkar and Dr. Gajanan Chavan — evaluated presentations based on scientific relevance, research methodology, clinical applicability, presentation quality, and contribution to anaesthesiology.
Award Winners
- First Prize: Dr. Jasminder Kaur (IGGMC) — Rev. B. N. Sahay Memorial Award and Dr. Shrirao Award
- Second Prize: Dr. Nikhil Vengurlekar (IGGMC) — Dr. S. K. Deshpande Award
Dr. Amol Pailwar and Dr. Roshni Manwani coordinated the event as Masters of Ceremony.
