
ISA Nagpur City Branch Holds Interesting Cases Competition
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists’ Nagpur City Branch organized the Vaishali Malegaonkar Memorial Interesting Cases Competition for members. Dr. Narendra Tamhane, President of ISA NCB, welcomed attendees to the event.
Eight challenging cases involving anaesthesia management during the perioperative period were presented and discussed interactively among participants. The judging panel consisted of Dr. Rashmi Deshpande (Professor at JNMC Sawangi), Dr. Akhilesh Sangawar (Professor at GMC Nagpur), and Dr. Pratibha Deshmukh (Associate Professor at IGGMC Nagpur).
Case presenters included Dr. Priya Sadawarte, Dr. B. M. Rajurkar, Dr. N. G. Tirpude, Dr. Gauri Arora, Dr. Vrishali Ankalwar, Dr. Jyoti Panhekar, Dr. Rajam Subramaniam, and Dr. Sachin Sadawarte.
Prize Winners
- 1st Prize: Dr. Gauri Arora — “Anaesthetic Management of a Case of Multiple Burn Contractures”
- 2nd Prize: Dr. Vrushali Ankalwar — “Bilateral Pheochromocytoma with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy for Bilateral Adrenalectomy”
Dr. Kamlakar Pawar and Dr. Alkesh Soni conducted the proceedings, and Dr. Saurabh Barde, Honorary Secretary of ISA NCB, delivered the vote of thanks.
