BCLS and COLS Training Program at Avanti Institute of Cardiology and Hospital
The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Nagpur City Branch (ISA–NCB) conducted a BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) and COLS (Community-Oriented Life Support) training program at Avanti Institute of Cardiology and Hospital, Nagpur, empowering healthcare staff and patient relatives with critical life-saving skills.
The training was designed to equip participants with hands-on knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking management, and the Panchrakshak protocol — five essential first-response steps that can be performed by any community member in a medical emergency.
Avanti Institute of Cardiology and Hospital is a specialised cardiac care centre where such life-saving skills are of utmost importance. The training reached nursing staff, hospital attendants, and relatives of patients, creating a broader safety net within the institution.
